LA’s Best Friends, Superman and Sir Percival do TechCrunch 50, and Because it’s Friday… an old Triumph Video

Wow. It’s Friday. Nice. Well, it’s been quite the week here at work/home for me. First, I’ll be attending the “Summer in Bloom,” event along with fellow docstoc people, which will benefit LA’s Best Friends, an after-school enrichment program that serves 26,000 children throughout the LA area, at no cost to parents. One of our rock star VC’s, David Travers, of Rustic Canyon Ventures, is the Vice Chair of this program, so I may have to bug him for an interview and talk about things like his favorite documents.

Oh and shout-out to Zoran, Cesar, and Amie of Triple5, for the ridiculously cute gear from the Holiday ‘08 collection. You guys are awesome.

In other news, Jason a.k.a. “Superman,” and Sir Percival were at TechCrunch 50 this past week, and amongst all the technology speak, Sir Percival even had a Techcrunch article about him about the TechCrunch aggregator site he created. Baller!

And… my parents have been staying with me for the past several months and I thought I’d write this scene to show what it’s like to live with your parents in your 20’s.

INT. KITCHEN-NIGHT
My family sits to dinner.
MOM: When are you going to learn to cook?
ME: Um. I do know how to cook.
DAD: Eggs, Cereal and making things on the Foreman Grill don’t count.
ME: Yes it does. It takes work to scramble eggs. Also I can make oatmeal. Not instant, but rolled oats or Steel-cut oats.
DAD: A way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.
ME: No, that’s BS.
MOM: What?!
ME: I mean, that’s not true. Um…
MOM: What are you going to do when you have a family and all you can make is cereal?!!

I SIGH loudly.
ME: UGH. okay, I’ll watch the Food Network.
My mother rolls her eyes.

And… I’ve been obsessed with Triumph lately, so here are his thoughts on Global Warming…enjoy!
