“Meet My Folks,” is a Semi-Finalist in the Scriptapalooza TV Writing Competition
I don’t usually post too much about auditions or the projects that I submit to writing competitions/agents because it can get depressing. I’ve heard “No,” so many times that when something actually DOES happen that’s positive, it’s shocking to me, like if someone threw a bucket of ice cold water on my head.(Random analogy but this did happen to me once at basketball camp)
Amanda had to e-mail me yesterday to tell me because I wasn’t even aware that an “Office” spec I wrote entitled, “Meet My Folks,” was a semi-finalist for the sitcom category in the Scriptapalooza TV writing competition.
No, I didn’t win or anything, but I’m SO happy because this means that I’m not crazy for continuing to chase the dream. haha.
I need to get to work, but I had a chance to have a quick chat at Opening Ceremony with Amie Hirata, Senior ladies Design Director and Cesar Moreno, Design Director of Triple Five Soul, who were visiting LA after doing a show in Las Vegas.
It was a quick interview, but I’ll post once they send me all the pics from the show in Vegas and hope to post some Fall 2008 fashions. And in true tech geek form, I took a screen shot of the Scriptapalooza page because… well I just wanted to.
